Fighting a Spiritual War

Half of inside of brain

Christianity Saves

Fighting a spiritual war

Are you used to it?

The mind is your battleground

Fought on a spiritual level

God gave you life

And the Devil gives you strife

You end up confused

Sometimes dazed too

Evilness does not care

It’s better for you to be in despair

God warns us every day

But our soul gets lost

Your mind keeps fighting during the night

Are dreams reality or just imagination?

How long can this fight go on?

As long as you keep living

It will continue on

How Fighting a Spiritual War Can Be Stressful

Even when you think you’re doing well

The evil thoughts creep in

Your mind avoids the sync

They keep reeling you in

You’re stressed and cry

Get away from me Satan

But he has six lives

He’s in

Your mind has been breached

You soul is safe for now

Are you praying so Christ’s power can be unleashed?

No one is above God

Satan tries

But he knows his destiny

He just wants more human souls

To fall and get tortured for eternity

That’s why you’re stressed

And you mind bombarded with evilness

If he can get you to fall into sin

His chances of experiencing a win

Are no longer slim

Jesus holding book in left hand

The Solution

Prayer, faith and belief is the recipe

When you put on God’s armor

Satan’s plan becomes in jeopardy

He’ll keep trying but not for long

It’s easier for him to find others

They are lost in wrong

Prayer and faith require repetition

God knows your heart

Are you ready to let him in?

Don’t give up because we all experience it

A daily spiritual warfare

Tripping us over sin

But our wrongs are washed with Christ’s blood

Accept him as Lord and Savior

And you’ll feel less in danger

Holy Thursday

Jesus on the cross with crown in front of him

Thanking God For Our Blessings

For everyone who knows God knows that He is all loving and wants nothing but the best for us. But we have to remember from the bible that God informs us that He is not of this world; therefore, if our hearts are with God, our goal is to live for Him and not for what happens in this world. It is important to have goals and aspirations but to also remember that they are only earthly accomplishments at the end of the day.

Many of us get lost into our worldly affairs only to forget that our hearts really belong with the creator. But some of you may ask, “If God cares for us, then why did he allow COVID-19 to destroy so many peoples’ lives?” Again, God works in mysterious ways and we do not know why things happen the way that they do; we just have to trust the process if our love is truly with Him.

But you also have to remember that God gave Satan power to rule Earth. In the bible, Jesus is tested by God by having to spend 40 days and nights in the desert without food or water. During this treacherous journey, Satan makes an appearance and tries to tempt Jesus to put God to the test by turning rocks into bread.

Satan also brings Jesus to the highest point of a mountain and tells him, “Bow down and worship me and I will give you all the kingdoms of the world!” Jesus refuses to follow Satan and in return, Satan gives up and leaves Jesus. This is what we are going through on a daily basis, whether you believe in God or not; Satan is out here tempting us because if goodness exists, then so must evilness.

You have to understand that there are many questions that remain unanswered in this world. God did not create us in order to provide us with these answers; if he had, then we would have known them already. But that’s where Satan comes in; the prince of darkness who tricked Adam and Eve into eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge!

Satan is willing to offer you secret knowledge about Earth and the universe as well as provide you with riches, but only if you worship him; in other others, selling your soul to the devil! For Satan, he loses nothing by offering humans riches but gains everything by obtaining your soul; for obtaining your soul is Satan’s way of rebelling against God by stealing one of his children away from him.

So don’t let Satan kidnap you from our father. God wants us to defeat this test of life and return back to Him in heaven where we all came from. But because Adam and Eve failed to listen to God when He warned them not to eat from the tree of knowledge, sin was created and we now have to pay our dues in return. But in this long and challenging process called life, we have to continue having faith in God, accepting his Son Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, following the ten commandments and living as good human beings.

Let us thank God for our blessings on this Holy Thursday, “Thank you God that we are healthy, prosperous and still alive during these hard times. Please continue to bless us and everyone in need. Amen!”

Why Religion Is Still Important

One Blood Under God

For millennials and Generation Z, the interest in patriotism, religion and family have fallen by 9%, 12% and 16%, respectively. Values are changing from the past and this may be good and bad. Just because society is viewed as “progressive” does not mean that it serves us any better than it once did.

A religion is a particular system of faith and worship. For many people who have had the blessing of being taught about God from an early age, religion has helped guide their life through adversity and through good times. However, it is important to note that religion and spirituality are not always the same.

Many people can be religious and attend church “for the hell of it.” For these people, God does not look down upon them with good favor; going through the motions is not loveworthy. And then there are spiritual people who may not attend church but believe the bible and that Christ was the son of god who was sacrificed in order to save humanity; they show god their love in privacy. For these people, god shines his light on them.

So if you utilize religion or spirituality for purposes other than the love for Christ and God our creator, then you are not helping yourself much. Religion is still important because it helps guide our life; it gives us a purpose besides our selfish human desires which often lead us into temptations, lust and sin. Religion is the foundation which helps connect us to each other and to our creator.

Raising a family is also still very important! In the bible it says, “man shall leave his parents and unite with woman and become one.” It pleases God to see man and woman unite. In the bible it goes on to say, “For man was created first, but God saw that man was lonely, so he created woman out of man.” God gave us the power to create and it should feel good to bring a new being into this world.

The loss of interest in raising a family can be risky because it may promote promiscuity. Family and religion are the bedrocks to living an honest and loyal life; this does not mean that it always happen! But at least they help. But being single or with a significant other for too long, especially in this day and age, can lead to shifting interests which may result in breakups, unhappiness and even mental illness.

Lastly, patriotism is still important as well! No group of people should isolate themselves and believe that they are better than others; God does not favor arrogance. He created all colors and ethnicities; we are all one blood under God. But what we should do is be patriotic by loving and supporting our country. By coming together, this helps us remain united and advance society in the right direction.

Overall, religion, family and patriotism are values which are not as important among millennials and Generation Z. But just because a trend arises, does not mean that you have to agree with it, or even worse, participate in it. Stand up for what you believe in!

The DSM Ready Movement believes in religion, family and patriotism!
