God Provides Guidance

Ground view of white clouds in sky

Touched by a Dove

God provides guidance

If only they knew that seeking is the way

He invented creation before we had a chance to think

All secrets and hidden things will be revealed to the world

When struggling with questions of morality

When you feel cornered with no good sense of direction

Your Father is waiting for you to seek

God provides guidance

His presence is not far

Just look up at the beautiful blue sky

God Provides Guidance: He sent his son Jesus

God sent his Son to help us

Try turning the other way and seeing his light

You can see him far away coming in sight

Don’t lose focus

We’re all in this together

Jesus forgave you before you could forgive yourself

He’s waiting for you to discover him and will take care of the rest

Accept his glory as proof that God is watching

Christ died on the cross but was risen to heaven

We’re all in this together

All he wants from you is love, faith and purity

Accept him as Lord and Savior

Trust the process and forget the haters

Not everyone has the power to believe

Their natural ways more easily deceive

They fall for sin and can’t recover as easily

But you’re ready for a new life

Leonardo Da Vinci painting of Jesus at Last Supper

God Provides Guidance: Trust Him every day with all your Heart

God’s love radiates beyond the sun’s rays

His creation is his example of love for humanity

When Satan fell from heaven

God decided to create mankind in his image

And here we are still spreading his message in the 21st century

God is eternal so fear him not

He wants you to be saved into his eternal house

But are you willing to open your heart

Cleanse your mind

And start following God?

Feeling Sad

Picture-of-abstract-face

Borderline State of Mind

Feeling sad

The pain comes in rapidly

Unexpectedly it flows into your vicinity

Like a swallowed pill kicking in at the bottom of the hour

You’re taking another raincheck

You don’t know what to believe anymore

Do you allow the sadness to storm over

Or do you take control and roar

The truth is that you have to battle your way

Life wants to test, trick or tease you

It’s up to you to be aware and react accordingly

Letting it swivel you around won’t bring you goods accordingly

Take control in the moment

Implement positive seeds, sprouting positive deeds

But even doing that tilts you at an unease

There’s a war on your mind

Mental illness is like a savage in the wild

A stranger that wants to make you uneasy

Can you spot it before it makes you uneasy?

Is this really a borderline state of mind?

Or only a test of time?

Feeling Sad: A Test of Time

What if sadness is a test of time?

Once you cross the finish-line

Your sadness dissipates

Instantaneously it evaporates

You wonder what changed

While celebrating your victory

There is no more shame

Was this all a test of time?

Riding it out till the end

You experienced some pain

And now your spent

Life has pulled away its chains

You’re now free to explore happiness for a change

Is this too good to be true?

You might wake up tomorrow again feeling blue

Have some confidence you tell yourself

Insecurity might reel in sadness mixed with hell

Sad white woman sitting next to window staring outside

Feeling Sad: Moving Forward

It’s been weeks since you last felt sad

Maybe it was a test of time

You’re glad

You take advantage of the situation

You’re moving forward

You’re finally content

This situation can never end

You’re optimism is blowing up

You’re nowhere near spent

Your mind is high on life

You never want it to end

Where was this state of mind the last couple of decades?

Let’s hope this never ends

Creative Minds

Abstract painting of blue ocean with head

Learning to Utilize Imagination

Creative minds are calling you

Imagination is a tool underutilized

Its roots come alive only when tapped deep enough

Sometimes the soil is stubborn

The plants don’t get through

The rains keep trying

Your thoughts are glued

You wonder why you think so lame

Why you can’t elevate your game past a certain membrane

You lose touch with any excitement

Everything has become repetitive

You miss Mike Tyson

Your imagination is not going through

You just want to improve your outcomes

But your thoughts are glued

You have to learn how to use it like a tool

It’s not just dreaming and moving on

It takes a lot of acting to set it on

To make it a reality

From your mind to your environment

To manifest your wishes into real-world successes

The choice is yours if you want to tap in

Your imagination is waiting within

Do you know how to break in?

Light bulb with neon colors inside

Creative Minds: Breaking into your Psyche

You heard that substances can provide traction

Cannabis, alcohol or caffeine

You take them and you’re suddenly relaxing

Musical molecules swim up from your speakers

I hear colors

But you see sounds

The synesthesia is profound

You’re stuck in the matrix or whatever you call it

A gnome opens up a vault within your mind

Immediately a bunch of juice creeps out like slime

Its colors don’t matter

You know right away what it is

Creative juice does exist

Who would ever resist?

You’re flowing now and you can’t stop

Your mind is high

Call it anti-locks

Who would have known about this cruise control feature

Imagine a wheel behind your forehead

You’re the captain of this ship

No longer government-led

But are drugs a cheat code to the matrix?

If so, will you resist or continue playing?

Marinating in Sadness

Woman in black dress wearing brown bag on head with sad face

Cooking Yourself Alive

Marinating in sadness is nothing new to you

You need lubrication to get unstuck from the glue

The alcohol uses your veins as a rollercoaster ride

And you sadness remains empty because it was never full

Alcohol alleviates the pain but it’s only a game

You come crashing down soon after like rain

The ride never seems to end

You just start all over as if stuck in quicksand

Therefore what’s left to do besides marinate in sadness

You’re paralyzed on the couch

Your bedroom on your mind

You stare out the window slow as time

The world is moving forward and you’re stuck

If only you can ride that rainbow like Daffy Duck

You rely on drugs for hope and inspiration

But you come crashing down quickly

Your sadness was always out of luck

People want to get to know you

But you lost interest in them before they even met you

You give them a chance

However you’re already bored

They don’t think outside the box

They’re too manipulated by what they’re told

Seeking self-comfort seems like the only option at times

Peace of mind and solitude eases the painful obstacles of the mind

Can you relate to what I am saying or is this just a facade?

Think about it again because by tomorrow you probably forgot

Sad Hispanic woman lying on chair crying

Marinating in Sadness: What Tomorrow Brings

Marinating in sadness into the evening

Tomorrow might be different

Striving away from sinking

This evening your mind falls deeper into quicksand

You’re buried alive and lose touch with reality

Sleep has overtaken you

Now it’s tomorrow and find yourself alive

How can this be?

I thought I died

So you didn’t die because tomorrow opened your eyes

And you sadness is gone

That’s right

The quicksand was a portal for your mind

You’re feeling better

Sadness has been left behind

Are you ready for what tomorrow brings?

Can’t Help Falling in Love

Blue and purple galaxy in night sky

Memories Don’t Lie

You can’t help falling in love

Losing love out of your life

The pain spills away

But cannot successfully leave your body

It builds up harming your psyche

Your heart cries in pain

Your mind no longer remains tamed

Emotions take over

You stare at the sky lost over

The lost love has departed your life

The sky is glowing

But your strife is growing

How much longer till you recover

Will the pain last or will you move forward

Being stuck is no easy task

Especially when functional like on good grass

You try your best to invest

Your future relies on your self-interest

Heartbroken white woman crying

Can’t Help Falling in Love: The Pain Lingers

The pain lingers as you wake up

Yesterday was worse

Today you’re still hurt

Focusing on your work is a distraction

You’re stuck in memories

You’re shattered in fractions

How can life go on like this?

When you just want love

But love no longer exists

Does she even still think about me?

Your insecurity flashes distrubing thoughts

You become miserable

And cry to endless sad thoughts

If only you could reach her and express yourself

But she blocked your cell

It’s over

Forget about that email

The pain lingers

And you know that life goes on

New girls on the horizon

But your attraction for her lives on

A new girl likes you but you don’t care

Your heart lies elsewhere

She starts to lose interest as well

But you still don’t care

Your mind says fuck

But your heart says out of luck

Is there anyway out of this misery?

Time please help me

Fast forward already and make it history

But no time says

The pain has to be felt

It’s part of the mental growth process

Consider your life a living hell

But slowly and surely the days go by

You continue your focus

Despite many sighs

Then one day you realize

Your love no longer is there

It’s as if time took her away

Your history lies with despair

You feel better and look into the future

No current new girls

But at least you’re healed

She was the best pearl

Step Outside Your Comfort Zone

Person leaping from one terrain to another during sunset

We Become Sad Because We Don’t Take Action

We become used to our comfort zone, preventing us from trying new things in life. Whenever this happens, we experience pain, sadness, frustration, annoyance and many more emotions. But to step outside your comfort zone is something else. You are the one in control of your decisions. If you want to do something, then get out there and do it. By holding yourself back, you complicate your life. Just do it.

To Step Outside Your Comfort Zone Requires Courage, Curiosity & Discipline

Two white swans in lake

To step outside your comfort zone takes courage. It’s not easy to leave a mind state that you’re used to for so many years. The problem with remaining in one mind state for a long period of time is that you get used to it; it no longer is flexible at adopting new ideas or plans of action. Mind states become fortified with time, meaning that it becomes more stable, in some cases unstable, and then become more comfortable to associate yourself with. In other words, you find yourself too comfortable to care about changing your situation.

To step outside your comfort zone requires intellectual curiosity. If you’re the type that becomes easily content with a non-progressive mindset, then you’ll be happy where you are. But sometimes you wont. Some people get really uncomfortable with their mind state but lack the power to change anything about it. So they become stuck. Imagine being stuck in a mind state? It’s like a jail cell of the mind; to some a penitentiary.

Lastly, to step outside your comfort zone requires discipline. Going at once or thrice here and there won’t cut it. You need to make it your new state of mind; the determination to succeed in brain, body and soul. This has to become your new reality. You must know that you want it! Are you ready to take a leap of faith out of your mental bubble and into the unknown? If the answer is yes, then you’ll find yourself chasing your dreams outside your comfort zone in no time. When you can expand your mind in two different horizons, then that’s what’s called multitasking.

Feeling Lonely Today

Lonely, sad man sitting in front of white projector screen

The Battle Known as Loneliness

Feeling lonely today again

The pain harbors in the center of your chest

The empty corners of your room remain isolated

People come and go

Yet you remain in the same place

Isolated with pain and arrested in shame

Is it your fault you constantly ask yourself

Or is it destiny observing the cards you were dealt with?

Whatever the reason may be

Your loneliness eats you alive

The weekends are worse, the weekdays you manage by

How does one exit this trap called loneliness?

Do you accept like a prisoner and hope for the best?

Counting down the days till you can hold someone abreast

Feeling Lonely Today: Yes, so are The Rest of Us

But do you care if others are lonely?

You’re suffering and that’s all that matters

Sure you care about others

But your problems scream louder

You want to connect but you can’t

The block is real

You try harder and harder

But the block is steel

So you do your best riding the wave

It can hit unexpectedly

You don’t want to crash and burn

That can hit unexpectedly

Some days the waves are calm

Others you’re riding the ocean’s roar

Falling down comes around one too many times

Whoever said loneliness was painless?

Lonely woman staring at sunset

The Portion of Pain

Emotional pain is a psychological state of mind

It hits you now

You get better

Then does a complete rewind

Just when you thought you were in the clear

The illness swarms back to steal your steer

Maybe we should embrace the pain

An opportunity to gain

If instead you complain

You persist the pain down a long vein

Learning remains the goal

The agenda to evolve through soul

God guides you if you believe

To the top you can go

And you will achieve

Trust the process

Maintain the faith

God will show you which way

All day.

Fighting a Spiritual War

Half of inside of brain

Christianity Saves

Fighting a spiritual war

Are you used to it?

The mind is your battleground

Fought on a spiritual level

God gave you life

And the Devil gives you strife

You end up confused

Sometimes dazed too

Evilness does not care

It’s better for you to be in despair

God warns us every day

But our soul gets lost

Your mind keeps fighting during the night

Are dreams reality or just imagination?

How long can this fight go on?

As long as you keep living

It will continue on

How Fighting a Spiritual War Can Be Stressful

Even when you think you’re doing well

The evil thoughts creep in

Your mind avoids the sync

They keep reeling you in

You’re stressed and cry

Get away from me Satan

But he has six lives

He’s in

Your mind has been breached

You soul is safe for now

Are you praying so Christ’s power can be unleashed?

No one is above God

Satan tries

But he knows his destiny

He just wants more human souls

To fall and get tortured for eternity

That’s why you’re stressed

And you mind bombarded with evilness

If he can get you to fall into sin

His chances of experiencing a win

Are no longer slim

Jesus holding book in left hand

The Solution

Prayer, faith and belief is the recipe

When you put on God’s armor

Satan’s plan becomes in jeopardy

He’ll keep trying but not for long

It’s easier for him to find others

They are lost in wrong

Prayer and faith require repetition

God knows your heart

Are you ready to let him in?

Don’t give up because we all experience it

A daily spiritual warfare

Tripping us over sin

But our wrongs are washed with Christ’s blood

Accept him as Lord and Savior

And you’ll feel less in danger

Feeling Insecure

Embarrassed white man covering face with hand

Feeling Insecure in a Relationship

Your insecurities do not manifest from outside sources. Outside forces have an impact on how you feel every single day, but it always comes down to you on how to handle the effects of outside forces. You have to learn how to clean up your insecurities before they become worse. Rather than blaming others for how youโ€™re feeling, take action into your own hands by managing your insecurities. You can do this via different vehicles, such as through exercising, mindfulness, therapy or talking to a close friend or family member. You are the master of your mind.

Insecure woman wearing winter clothes and covering face with gloves

Why Are We Feeling Insecure?

We feel insecure because our environment is constantly influencing us via social media, television and interactions with others. We constantly analyze everything on an unconscious level and this influences our thoughts and behaviors. Those who don’t learn how to feel comfortable in their environment remain insecure. Those who analyze, adjust and make the necessary mental changes flourish; they disconnect from their insecurities. The first step is identifying your insecurities and addressing them. This step often proves to be difficult for many people because they don’t want to target their insecurities.

Targeting your insecurities takes courage. It’s much easier to ignore your flaws and difficulties and remain in the same state of mind. The problem is that by ignoring your insecurities, you hold yourself back from improving as a person. If you address your insecurities, you’ll feel much better about yourself, more confident and people will notice it. The hardest part is addressing them but once you do, it becomes easier and you’ll feel glad that you did it in the first place.

Let’s be honest, living with insecurities is painful. Every day, you’re reminded of your flaws either through relationships, interactions with other people or when by yourself. You have to live with this stabbing pain within you at all times, eating you away from the inside out. Think about it; if you’re constantly distracted by insecurities, your mind has less room to enjoy activities and pleasures that are in your life. At a deep unconscious level, no matter how much pleasure you have, you can’t experience it to the fullest because you’re distracted by your insecurities.

Find courage today to address your insecurities and live a better life in return.

Alcohol Addiction

Two white women laughing and holding drinking drinks

Mental Illness and Alcoholism

Alcohol addiction is a mental illness. Whether it’s through genes, environmental experiences or simple curiosity, once alcohol enters your bloodstream, it salivates its way to your brain. It then smoothly crosses your blood-brain barrier and camps for as long as it can. It then makes your brain its home. If you are already vulnerable, such as experiencing emotional pain, suffering from a mental illness or the victim of peer pressure, you will quickly learn that alcohol is like a potion. It quickly numbs away your painful experience. Once booze and your brain shake hands, call it a deal made in hell.

Does this mean that you are now prone to developing an addiction? Not necessarily. Is it possible? Absolutely. Many people with anxiety disorders or depression love alcohol. The substance helps lubricate their shyness, fears, anxieties and low mood, but only in the moment! Once your brain soaks up all the ethanol like a sponge, it crashes. You feel hungover or even worse you start to experience withdrawal effects such as tremors, anxiety, restlessness, sweating, insomnia and excessive thoughts of acquiring more alcohol. Severe withdrawal effects include seizures, shaking, confusion and hallucinations, also known as delirium tremens.

White woman holding cocktail drink next to bar

Can you Recover from Alcohol Addiction?

Absolutely, but it takes a strong will to do so. If you’re even 10% ambivalent, the chances of a successful recovery slim down. You must want to be free from alcohol. Quitting alcohol means no drinks whatsoever. You can no longer have a glass of wine at dinner or a beer when out with friends. I know this sounds harsh, but the saying is very true, “Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic.” To quit alcohol addiction, you must be 100% sure that you’ll never drink ever again. Too many recovered addicts take a chance thinking that one drink will not do anything, only to find themselves back in their old habits. My point is this: you can successfully recover from this mental illness but you have to sacrifice alcohol from your life for good.

Why does alcohol love your brain so much? Or simply reversed, why do you like alcohol so much? I’ll let you answer those questions.
