Will Cryptocurrency Become The Next Internet?

Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP coins on fiat money

The World Of Digital Assets

Outside of mental and physical health, we are living in exciting times to be able to recognize the adoption and implementation of digital assets in society. If successfully executed, these digital assets will revolutionize our transfer of money globally. Not only will society be positioned on a universal platform known as the blockchain, but the internet of value will allow the transfer of money and liquidity ultra smoothly and efficiently. It will no longer take 3-4 business days to send large amounts of money internationally; it will be like picking up a cup of coffee.

Whether it’s Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP or Chainlink, not many coins will survive up until the finish line. Out of the 5,709 coins in existence, most likely 10-15 will be prevalent in the mainstream world. It’s way too early to spot the future top contenders but the race is certainly on. Whether competition or not, we should all work together to help adopt a new technology that will help everyone all over the world, including third-world nations who need and deserve the most help.

Bitcoin is slowly adopting the role of “digital gold” while XRP wants to implement a new system that will make cross-border payments flawless. What about Dogecoin? The “joke cryptocurrency” that is gaining moment because of a recent Tik Tok fad. The easiest way to start learning about cryptocurrency is by watching educational and informative YouTube videos and doing your own investigation by researching digital assets and their respective history and future intentions.

The Different Chapters Of Life

Life Is Made Up Of Many Different Chapters

There are moments in life when you start to realize that things may not be going your way. You start to realize that it’s the beginning of a new chapter but you also start to worry that it may not go your way. Sometimes you start telling yourself that it may be the worst four months of your life that are about to follow. You even wake up sad asking yourself, “Do I even want to go to work today? Do I even enjoy what I do?”

What you are experiencing when this is happening is the transitioning from an old chapter in your life into a new one. No one likes transitions; it’s human nature to feel uncomfortable with changes and to prefer to remain in one place with everything already going your way. But life has many different chapters in store for you and when these changes are ready to happen, it means that it’s time to finish an old chapter and start a new one.

Sometimes you have to hop onto a new chapter in order to improve. You might not recognize the improvements at first but in the long run, you’ll come to appreciate the new chapter that was opened up to you. This is because your new chapter may be cloudy at first; everyone handles changes differently. Some people have a harder time letting go of previous chapters in their life and moving on; these are the ones who have a lot of potential to benefit from future changes.

Just remember that you are not the only one who dislikes changes in life. Many people experience difficulty moving on in life and you have to remind yourself this whenever you are feeling down. The last person that you want to be angry with is yourself. It may or may not be your fault that you are experiencing a new chapter, but you never want to take it out on yourself or others. Just go with the flow and begin the new chapter as life has it set up for you.

In the end, experiencing the different chapters of life helps shape you into the person you are. Don’t fear change but learn to let go of your past and accept your new future. It’s not easy to step out of your comfort zone, but it feels awesome once you get the hang of your new chapter and start noticing the benefits and positive changes in your character and in your life. Don’t be discouraged when the road becomes bumpy and you start feeling insecure and uncertain with yourself; we all go through it!

I Am Free Of Ignorance

The Media Flips The Agenda

From Corona To National Riots Overnight

Since December of 2019, the world has been focused on the coronavirus which started in China. Since it started, many where not paying close attention; a lot of people did not believe that it would ever get out of China. Towards the end of February 2020, the world realized that it was wrong; COVID-19 was swarming nations like the plague. When March hit, so did a new reality based on loss of jobs, social distancing and quarantining. The world changed forever, as if a new reset were established before our eyes.

For almost three months, humanity was quarantined at home while essential workers continued risking their lives. Mental illness increased and deaths skyrocketed from the coronavirus. When May hit, many southern states began loosening restrictions and people returned back to work. Memorial day was big for beaches; people attended like never before.

Things slowly seemed to be getting back to normal . . . until the death of George Floyd, which rocked the nation upside down. Our reality once again changed, but in the wrong direction and for the worse. Rather than continuing on the smooth momentum we had going, which was based on the virus slowing down, we transitioned into a nation based on rage, riots, looting, anarchy and violence.

Did you pay attention to the media? The narrative switched from the coronavirus to riots faster than a bolt of lightening; it’s as if the pandemic almost never happened. The new talk of the town has been these riots. The media does a great job at creating new realities for us, even if these realities do not serve our best intention. How did society suddenly jump from a rare pandemic to a nation boiled on hate? Just because one man suffered an awful and unfair death in Minneapolis?

People suffer many wrongful deaths every day in this world but the media never touches upon them. Why did the media have to go digging and create this entire fiasco? For what? So we can suffer more as if the coronavirus pandemic wasn’t enough? All the media had to do was talk about the incident for one day and then move on. Instead, it added fuel to the fire by raising tensions and stirring up the idea of racism and police brutality.

Instead of the media helping us to transition out of the pandemic and raising awareness for mental health issues for all the people who suffered for the last three months, it decided to infect us with riots, looting and curfews. Are we truly heading towards a new world order? Are these the beginning signs of control by the government? If quarantining and social distancing were not enough, we are now hit with 8 pm curfews. Think outside the box my fellow humans!

Wake up for the enemy is never sleeping.

The Enemy Loves Chaos

Riots: A Losing Position

You would think that people would never have to resort to rioting in 2020, but this is the sixth consecutive night of rioting in America. It’s so sad to see so many people who are lost because many who are rioting are not personally affected by racism. They just happen to be lost in the cause by rioting because their friends are doing it or are angry themselves at baseline. Rather than focusing their energy on bettering themselves, they prefer to put our officers in harm’s way and loot department stores.

How many more lives lost and years passed must we experience in order to learn that rioting will never end racism? Do rioters believe that if they make a point by burning buildings, destroying cop cars and looting expensive stores, that “the system” will suddenly change? The system will not change by enacting violence and anger in the streets; if anything, this will only motivate the system to continue racism and inequality.

Watching these riots on television makes me upset personally and as a psychiatrist, because this is not how human beings should be solving problems. This reminds me of mental health patients who arrive in the emergency department agitated and psychotic, yelling at the psychiatrist and refusing to cooperate. But after a solution like therapy, medications and talking are offered, the patient drastically improves and is no longer angry.

It disappoints me to see people marching in the streets and committing acts of violence and looting because I know that it won’t solve anything. The system is too advanced, sophisticated and stuck in its ways to be dented by rioting. If anything, this situation only promotes the creation of a police state or a totalitarian state controlled by a political police force that secretly supervises the citizens’ activities.

With President Trump in power, this country has never had a better opportunity to be given a reason to instill a political police force into play. These riots are only reinforcing this idea and breathing life into it at the same time that George Floyd yelled, “I can’t breath.” Riots were never the solution in the past and never will be in the future. The solution is peacefully marching and showing “the system” that through strength and dignity, we will continue to stand united for what we believe in.

The solution is never replacing violence for violence; this chaos is exactly what the enemy loves and gets a kick out of. Let’s stop checkmating ourselves through immature and dangerous rioting and looting and let’s start being powerful and mature individuals while standing proudly together during times of adversity.

Riots Don’t Solve Problems

Black boy reading holy bible under white covers in bed

Energy Diverted Elsewhere

With any great problem comes the desire for a better solution. If historically speaking, this problem has persisted for over one hundred years, then the solution should not resemble the problem. What I am getting at is that the problem of racism has exited for a very long time and will not stop anytime soon, so the solution that has not worked over the last one hundred years is rioting in the streets. There are more negatives than positives with this solution and it does nothing but hurt us more than we can realize.

You don’t solve violence with violence; this is like a chess match that never ends up earning the king’s reward. To become victorious in this fight against racism and hatred, you might demonstrate love and kindness towards evilness. The bible teaches us to treat our enemies with love and allow them to humiliate us in public for The Lord is keeping track until judgement day.

Riots are exactly what the enemy wants you to be doing; this is feeding into their fire. Stop being so naive and hot-headed and use your heated hearts to radiate love in return; this is the sure-fire way to become victorious and place evilness into its place. You cannot defeat evilness if you rely on violence, anger, looting and riots.

How many more lives must be lost until you wake up and properly learn how to defeat racism? Screaming and demonstrating in the streets does not solve problems; this is exactly what the elite want us to be doing and this has to do with the old agenda of achieving a race war around the world. Why continue allowing them to win just because you can’t control your anger and pain?

Jesus Christ has taught us that God is not of this world; therefore, don’t live for it. He also taught us to put God before our family, including our parents, sons and daughters and to live for God through our heart, mind and soul. When our focus and faith are rested upon God, He teaches and guides us on how to handle problems and create solutions that will help us prosper.

All of the energy wasted on the riots can be made much greater by harnessing it within us and focusing it on God and ourselves. When rioting, we give up our energy into flames and we all know where flames lead us. As children of God, we are of the light, beauty and peacefulness of God’s kingdom; our painful arrows of love are intended to heal and strengthen the spirit.

So let’s use this gift that God provides to every human born from day one of life; this gift is called love. This is how we defeat hatred, mental health stigma, racism and much more. The more we shine with love and do not allow the enemy’s bullets to penetrate our hearts, the sooner this world will turn into our favor. So wake up if you are reading this and share it with your fellow humans!

Improving For Life

Two yellow smiley emoji on yellow case

It Never Stops Ending

As a human being, there is never a limit to how much you can improve. Even when you think that your physical and mental health are top notch, there is more that you can still do. Sometimes when we have everything going for us, we start to become complacent, allowing room for error to creep into our lives. Life is a journey and it never stops short of improvement.

Even spiritually, you can always improve and better yourself. There really is nothing that you can argue against the process of improvement. This is because improvement is very subjective; what may be considered “awesome” for one individual is considered “subpar” for another. The process of improvement is different for everyone, but it should be universally accepted that there is always room for improvement no matter how great everything may be.

If you lack the motivation to improve, then that’s a big problem on your hands. You may not see it now, but over time you will realize how your lack of motivation in the past contributed to your current problems. One of the greatest concepts to live by is something called delayed gratification. This is based on the idea of working hard today while living for tomorrow; delaying gratification in the present moment so that you can enjoy prosperity in the future.

Not many people have the will or stamina to apply delayed gratification in their lives. This requires sustained discipline to live by this concept day in and day out, especially when encountering many setbacks and failures. Many people fall short of reaching their full potential because of the lack of sustained discipline; they allow life’s adversities to prevent them from progressing in the right direction.

But if motivation has never been an issue for you, then remember to never stop improving. There is always something that you can find in your life that needs to be worked on; you just have to be honest with yourself and find the energy and time to dedicate to the task at hand. This is especially important when it comes to your physical and mental health; no one is going to help you be healthy without you first helping yourself.

Most people think of physical health but forget the importance of improving their mental health. As the body gets rusty year after year, you think the brain remains invincible? You have to make adjustments to your thoughts, perception and perhaps even interests in order to keep your mind in alignment with your present reality. One big traumatic experience may be the trigger to your slip and fall, turning you into a raging alcoholic and sacrificing your mental health in the process.

Always aim for improvement even when you think that you have accomplished everything; it never stops ending.

Encountering The Memories From Your Teens

Riding The Wave When It Brings You Memories

They say to never live in your past but that only applies if your past is haunting or preventing you from moving forward. Your past can hold you back if you don’t let go, especially if you have encountered traumatic experiences. Sometimes people hold onto their past, reanalyzing their mistakes over and over again, as if revisiting those memories will do anything productive. I think you get the point; avoid your past if it doesn’t contribute anything meaningful to your present.

But if your past is full of beautiful memories, by all means, revisit it as often as you get a chance! Beautiful memories from your past can still serve as insightful lessons which you can utilize as refreshers. Think of your memory vault as a bookshelf full of useful information; all you have to do is dust off the pages and dive in. Don’t let the memories stored in your hippocampus go to waste.

If your hippocampus is good enough to still hold onto childhood and adolescent memories, why not use them to your advantage? Diving into the past can help you relax in the present, especially after a long week at work. But many don’t revisit their awesome memories because they are afraid of feeling sad in the present moment, especially if their present moment is not as exciting as their past.

This is a bad way to view the situation. Many people don’t have as good of a present situation as they had in their past, but this does not mean that they should not revisit their past. Your past is not something that you should feel jealous or envious of just because your present is not as exciting. If anything, revisit those memories and learn from your past to see if you can implement some of those tactics in the present.

In other words, utilize the power of your brain; don’t just live in the present. Your brain is capable of so many extraordinary tasks, but many don’t take advantage because they are too caught up in the present moment. Sometimes you have to check out of the present moment in order to obtain a greater clarification of your life. The saying, “focus on your present and future cause those are the ones that you can change” is not completely useful because it’s leaving out the past.

It is true that you want to focus the majority of your energy and time on the present and the future, but dedicate a small percentage to your past as well. Retrieving memories is one of the most beautiful capabilities of the human mind; utilize this to your advantage and don’t let it go to waste.
