51% Dreams

It’s Not All About Hard Work

Everything starts within your imagination. Everything starts within your mind. Everything starts within your dreams. What’s the point of working hard if you don’t know why you’re working hard in the first place? What’s the point of endless hours of devotion if all that hard work is not aligned with your dreams? Do you even have dreams? If you’re stuck and don’t know where you’re headed, then start with your dreams. Once you figure them out, then the rest becomes history.

Whenever you become down in life and hopeless that your future is over, remind yourself of your dreams and allow them to fill you with power, motivation and inspiration. Every time you feel derailed off your path to success, use your dreams to get you back on track. You’ll encounter many moments of discouragement, disappointments and even failures, but it’s how you get yourself back up that matters the most. Use your dreams as an anchor to prevent you from falling too many times; to prevent you from drowning!

The formula is simple: 50% hard work + 51% dreams = 101% success.

Marijuana Was The Winner Of The Presidential Election

Green and orange marijuana buds

A Week Later: Marijuana Still Leads The Race

Boy was that an election! The president never stopped being the president and the president-elects’ mental status is probably confusing him regarding his supposed win last Saturday. But guess who has been impressively standing on stage this entire time delivering the most useful message? Marijuana was recreationally legalized in the states of New Jersey, Arizona, South Dakota and Montana this year. Mississippi came big by legalizing medical marijuana. It seems that with each passing year, marijauna is gaining more supporters who are pro-legalization.

The science remains young and we do not have enough evidence based on medical clinical trials to conclude any legitimate long-term health benefits and adverse effects of marijuana consumption. But it has reached a point where criminalizing marijuana users is no longer sensical; I mean, going to prison for possession of marijuana? That sounds so archaic. Remember, however, that even though marijuana is on an upward legalization trend, does not mean that we become naive to its potential mental health side effects such as anxiety, a psychological addiction and even psychosis!

A week later . . . and marijuana is still the clear winner of this year’s presidential election!

Your Life Is A Dream

Man standing in middle of road at night

So Snap Out Of It More Often

Everything regarding the way you interpret reality stems from the most important organ in your presence: the brain. How you think and view the world is based on your personality and interpretation of your surroundings. If you can match your personality with an accurately honest, portrait of society, then you can proceed to viewing and observing reality for how it is meant to be viewed. But once you allow your mind to be influenced by outside forces (i.e. political influences, the entertainment industry or even dishonest conspiracies, etc.), you become more susceptible to programming or the manipulation of your mind, oftentimes without you even noticing it.

So take what you can from society that is still good and add it to your arsenal. But always remember that it’s your mind that is most precious, so snap out of it more often to keep it in check from outside forces! Protect your mind for it roams openly in a dangerous land, ready to be attacked at any minute by invisible forces.

Lockdowns Don’t Work

Life During The Coronavirus Pandemic

As COVID-19 cases continue to surge around the world, multiple countries are implementing 4-week national lockdowns. Whether the U.S. will be next is still yet to be seen, but it is my opinion that national or even local lockdowns are a terrible idea for the following reasons:

  • Small business owners are losing their income
  • The economy is crumbling
  • Many who are home are experiencing mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety
  • Many who are home are using more substances such as alcohol and marijuana
  • Lockdowns create uncertainty and fear in many people
  • Lockdowns force many people with a mental illness to remain home rather than being out and about
  • Lockdowns promote more virtual communication via Zoom and Webex rather than in-person interactions

. . . and the list goes on. The worst part about it is that even if we protest against lockdowns, the federal government will do what they wish; this is a form of control and a big middle finger to the people who elected them in the first place. It’s truly a dark time that we are living in, but we must make the most out of it and remain positive no matter the unfortunate events of this time.

Practice Peacefully

Living Your Life With Peace And Comfort

It matters. A lot! Once you learn how to carry yourself throughout the day with peace and comfort, the process called life becomes much more enjoyable. Once you learn how to work hard with peace and comfort, the reward of “rest and digest” that follows is much more euphorically amplified. Practicing peace and comfort is not as easy as you may think for many people; life’s circumstances, negative emotions and even mental illness get in many peoples’ ways.

Once you learn how to more consistently live with peace and comfort, you’ll find that your days will start to progress more smoothly, contributing to a happy state of mind. But when you lose touch with peace and comfort is when your days become bombarded with pain, misery, annoyance, mental fatigue, negative distractions, roadblocks and many more. How many of you have been in that position?

Do the right thing. Practice peacefully.

Hard Work Stings

Red brick wall with live, work, create quote

But Why It Pays Off In The End

Because it feels good. After training your mind to consistently work hard over many years, you start deriving pleasure from it even if it stings in the moment. Of course anyone would prefer to relax and not have to work for a living if they had the opportunity, but even then, that scenario does not guarantee happiness. Hard work that is enjoyed almost always brings satisfaction and satisfaction often translates into happiness. But this is considering that you’re also incorporating free time and leisure activities around your hard work; if it’s all work but no play, then happiness flies out the window!

So whenever you are experiencing those long, unexpected, grueling days at work, remind yourself that you are not the only one going through them, and that happiness will be your reward before your turn off the lights at the end of the day!

The Dark Side Of The Moon

A simple message to dream with shimmery purple and pink glitter bokeh

8/27/20 Dream Analysis

  • Unknown location (dream I): I was in a house with two big sliding doors overlooking a parking lot. I noticed a man in the parking lot looking at me in surprise and two men beating an innocent man in the street who was confronting them. It felt like I was in Florida or something. The man in the parking lot jumped over the gate and fled while the other two were most likely hiding the body. I pulled the shades down and hid under my bed thinking that they would come to kill me too. Later that night, I was eating in the bedroom with two other guys when we noticed a familiar man pulling up in a van in the parking lot; we thought it was them who were back to kill us because we were witnesses to their murder and suspicious activity. Someone threw me a gun and I went in the backroom to warn my dad that they were here and to get himself ready and the dog and head for the car out back. I ran downstairs to the basement to get a shotgun for my dad (I also noticed a Chinese guy named James from medical school coming up) and then as I got back upstairs, someone was walking in the hallway saying “hello?” I did not see the person.
  • Unknown location (dream II): I was driving my Mercedes quite fast on very wet highways that were surrounded by many streams and marshes and there were no railings between the highways and streams. I then lost control of my car and I ended up flying with the car and landing perfectly on an island in a young man’s rich property. I noticed my car was actually a lambo. I knocked on the door of the mansion and a young man with his girlfriend answered. I told them what had happened and if they could help me get off this island. The young man agreed to take my car while his GF agreed to drive me in hers. Then something happened to the young man because supposedly there was something evil at play. I was then stuck with his GF and it was either me or the young man who had turned into a vampire and was getting ready to wake up.
  • Unknown location (dream III): I heard a scary voice that almost sounded demonic saying, “go awayyyy” and then I woke up to the noise of a loud truck outside that actually made a car’s alarm system go off.

Freud is known for saying, “dreams are the royal road to the unconscious.” Does anyone have any takes on the dreams mentioned above? Feel free to share you dreams as well.

Living An Honest Life

Honesty: In All Shapes, Forms And Sizes

Think back to when you were five years old and the way that you viewed the world. If you were raised in a good family, then you can relate to the fact that almost everything around you was based on the idea of having fun. At that age, you didn’t have responsibilities, expectations, work or pressure. You just lived you life having fun. As you grew older, you learned the importance of being honest with yourself and others; living an honest life.

You discovered how the world is no longer a cute, little, fun place where everything goes your way. You realized that the world is a big playground full of bullies who tempt you to sin, lie and deceive others; for a moment, you even considered putting honesty aside as you saw no positive results from it. Through honesty, you learned that others would take advantage of you and you would end up getting hurt in the end, when all along you had good intentions.

Not everyone has had a negative experience with honesty but almost everyone can agree that honesty is important not only for you but for everyone around you. Living an honest life prevents you from feeling corrupt inside and allows you to feel good about yourself. Even if you don’t always get the results that you want, at least you know that you are doing the right thing. Don’t connect honesty with winning because they are not always in the same boat.

Some people win by lying but that does not make them winners in my eyes. Trust me when I say that they don’t feel good about themselves when they are winning and lying. Maybe in the moment, they enjoy the high of winning, but in the long run, their sins are chipping away at their soul. You have to make the decision of what’s more important to you: waking up in a successful state of mind but feeling corrupt inside or waking up with less success and feeling like an angel inside.

I hope you decide to take the angel route because this is the route of growth and growth often leads to success; it might just take longer than the shortcuts provided by lies and deceit. Remember that life is not a race but a marathon; it does not matter how long it takes you to reach your desired level of success, as long as you do it honestly and with pure intentions. It’s very easy to fall in the trap of sin and temptation and much more difficult to get out of it. Therefore, take your time and live an honest life even if you don’t see the immediate results you have always dreamed of.

I Am Full Of Love

Jesus Christ statue inside church

Positive Affirmation: Loving Heart

“I am full of love because I was born to heal and spread happiness. I am full of love because God has led me to Jesus Christ who teaches me the correct ways to live by. I am full of love because I was given the holy spirit to heal others and connect with them on many loving planes. I don’t allow my mind’s anger to overtake my heart’s placid stream of love, but rather use my heart’s power to heal my mind in times of testing. When others do me wrong, I don’t attempt to apply the “eye for an eye” concept taught by others; that only brings more pain and division. Rather, I show them love back and allow them to realize that through their hatred, I continue to radiate love so that they too can learn as well. I am full of love and thankful that The Lord continues to bless me every day!”

Stuck In A Sad Loop

Selective focus photography of sad woman surrounded by people in the street

The Same Things Every Day

How many of you feel tired of the same things happening every single day? No matter what you do, you feel like your life is repetitive as if you’re stuck in a sad loop that keeps playing over and over again. The worst part of this loop is that you have no idea how to get out of it. This loop is not necessarily bad, but it slowly eats away at your happiness because it prevents you from experiencing new people, places and things. You keep searching for a solution but end up no where new.

So what is the solution? You have to make a change. Any change; it doesn’t matter what it is. Change is the process of breaking old patterns and habits and instilling new ones. Change is the gasoline for your vehicle, in this case, your life. You are the driver of your life; not the other way around. You need to make a change and no one can tell you what that change is; you have to discover it for yourself.

Change is not always easy because we often hold ourselves back. We know what we have to do and change about ourselves, but we often don’t because we are comfortable with our present reality. See the irony? How can we be comfortable if we just admitted that we’re stuck in a sad loop? That’s the point! You’re stuck in a “comfortable sad loop” that is difficult for you to step out of.

Think of a hamster running back and forth on its wheel; that’s you in a nutshell! Many of us keep running on that wheel until we finally step off and realize that we’ve wasted five, ten, twenty or even thirty years of our lives. Don’t wait for tomorrow to make a change that you can make today! Even if making a change feels uncomfortable, force yourself to experience the discomfort. Oftentimes, once you get past the discomfort, you’ll experience a sense of satisfaction, something along the lines of, “I actually feel better now! Can’t believe this.”

We all go through this “sad loop” from time to time; it’s not something easy to escape from. But if you have the determination to step out of this sad loop and improve your life, then you are on the right track. But you have to make a change and only you can do it; no one can do it for you. We can each give advice to one another but at the end of the day, you’re the only one who can make the change.
